Notes:
Unlike the backward-looking style of his contemporaries among the lute circle in Leipzig, the lute music of Adam Falckenhagen is very up-to-the-minute with its short phrases, block dynamic contrasts, simple harmonies and Galant dance forms. The sure melodic gift and masterful exploitation of the lute's sonority put his music clearly in the Roccoco style of the latter half of the 18th century. This charming music is the twilight flowering of the lute's eminence in the late Baroque period.

Large works are available either complete or as individual tracks. Each track is available in 2 formats; MP3(128kbps) and WAV (uncompressed).
Fast loading samples are provided for each track but please note that they have been compressed, resulting in a lower sound quality than the downloaded versions.
